On April 1st, the church held the first spring ping-pong tournament. 35 players continued to grow their skills and develop the discipline of competitive sport. All players showed respect, acceptance, and true Christian love to each other. It was not easy nor quick. The competition lasted 8 long hours. We also discovered Abouna Antonious’ hidden ping pong talents in his game with St. Mary’s priest Fr.Matthew. The tournament delivered clear indication of the future success of a church ping pong team. The excitement was evident as many people were asking about the next tournament. The event raised $1117.00 towards our new church.
