No more mighty thundering:
This was pharaoh’s request from Moses and Aaron after the cold’s strike, where he said to them” Entreat the Lord, that there may be no more mighty thundering and hail, for it is enough. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.” ( Exodus 9:28).
My dear reader, if your life is in the cold and thunder of God’s wrath” For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” ( Romans 1:18), then there is no way out to salvation except through repentance and the return to God… Say with Jonah” For I know that this great tempest is because of me” ( Jonah 1:12)…. Cry to the Lord, confessing your clear sins that are before your eyes, pleading to Him, saying, ” Enough is enough …. God forgive me for I am a sinner…. Go to your father of confession and confess your sins, and listen to the prayer of absolution from his mouth, and have communion which is given for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
Enough with waiting on that mountain:
This was the Lord’s call to the children of Israel in Horeb, to move toward the promised land, the place of rest… Till when will our lives remain in a state of stagnation, laziness, negligence and away from the way of God?!…. Aren’t we done yet with staying in the places of sin, distancing ourselves from God, whether in the circle of impurities or lusts?!!! Didn’t we realize yet the emptiness of our inner life because of our love for money?! Is it not in the company of bad guys and despicable councils, that we have brought upon ourselves sins and destruction for ourselves, our homes, and the stings of conscience that destroys the soul?!.
Yes enough” For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentileswhen we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries” ( 1 Peter 4:3). Today, if you hear the voice of the Lord within you, if you are done with falling and dying, do not harden your heart, but let God hold your right hand in a perfect handover to His wise guidance to the land of your promise with Him.
The Lord Jesus says” Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” ( Matthew 6:34). My Beloved, why do I see you sad and burdened with your worries? …. Why do you think of the future, perhaps for many years to come?! And who knows if it will?! … Here the Lord presents to you a challenge” Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” ( Matthew 6:27)…. Hence, let us be faithful to God and to others today, but tomorrow, we believe fully that it is in the hands of God, trusting that all things will do good for those who love Him…. And on the practical level, the experience of the great saints, and even our humble experience with God, confirms His goodness , love, honesty and richness” Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them” ( Joshua 1:5-6). The Holy Book commends us to heartily rely on God and to not fall under the burdens of worrying” Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved” ( Psalm 55:22). Worries disappear with the fear of the Lord that grants us His peace” Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, Than great treasure with trouble” ( Proverbs 15:16). My beloved, if you listen to and read the Word of God, yet you have no faith to depend on Him, then the Word will bear not fruits” Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful” ( Matthew 13:22). … Saint Paul offers us an advice saying” and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away. But I want you to be without care” ( 1 Corinthians 7:31-32). Saint Peter also asks us to cast all our troubles on the Lord, living a true peaceful life” casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” ( 1Peter 5:7).
Enough hypocrisy and divided hearts
A call and a voice crying out from the heart of God on the mouth of Elijah the prophet, to anyone who limps between the two groups, and to all those who look religious but are not in their hearts, and to all who used to worship, visit and even serve in the house of God without a real life that attests to God in secret and in public… Here is this cry” And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word” (1 Kings 18:21). Then listen to what James says in his epistle referring to the man with a divided heart” he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” ( James 1:8)…. ” Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh” ( James 3:10-12)……” Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded” ( James 4:8).
We have not seen the Lord Jesus Christ rebuking and warning, as we have seen Him with the scribes and Pharisees, for they were hypocrites” Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!” ( Matthew 23:27). Dear reader escape for your life from these scourges by repenting from cheating on yourself and others, and from numbing your conscience by worshipping only from the outside without entering into the spiritual depths that unite you with the Lord to be fully His.
My beloved, time is now very short, and determining the eternal destiny of each of us is essential, for it is either life or eternal condemnation, and we are the ones that get to choose and decide. God has done everything for our salvation and deliverance. The Owner of the vineyard, the good and the faithful, being puzzled from His vine ( us ) says” What more could have been done to My vineyard That I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes, Did it bring forth wild grapes?” ( Isaiah 5:4)…. We cannot deceive God. He knows and sees all that is in our depths, and everything is exposed to Him.
Enough running behind self deception and the theory of ( an hour to you heart and an hour to your God)… ” You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons” ( 1 Corinthians 10:21)…. Today listen to the Word of the Lord whispering in your ears, or rather roaring like a lion that it is Enough…. Enough ….. Enough …. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.
