He ascended and sat

Above all authority
When Jesus ascended before His disciples, a cloud took Him away from their eyes, to enter Into His glory in the highest. And as the Divine revelation tells us through our teacher Saint Paul the Apostle, telling us about the work of God the Father in Christ ” which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come” ( Ephesians 1:20-21). And here my beloved we understand that it is for us that He has done that, for He has done that in His body, which is our body and our humanity which is His. No wonder that the Bible also says that God” and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” ( Ephesians 2:6). And the reason for that is the Father’s love for us because we are in Christ. God has honored us greatly in His beloved Son, whom He had been pleased with, we have also received in Christ the pleasure of the Father, seating us with Christ in the heavenly places. Then comes the question again, why?! 1. The answer comes from the Bible” In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” ( Ephesians 1:7).
Dear reader, look at the greatness of God’s love and honor for us because of our incarnate Christ, the dying, rising and ascending with us to His Father who is our Father. Was this not what the Lord Himself proclaimed to Mary Magdalene after His resurrection from the dead” Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” ( John20:17). My beloved, we who were born of water and Spirit through Baptism, have become the children of God, receiving the Holy Spirit with the Holy Mayroun. The heavens has become our dwelling place and our journey here on earth must be destined for it, ” If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God” ( Colossians 3:1).
Let our thoughts then rise to heaven and our inner life be higher than the earth. Let us every day, even for a while, sit with the Lord in peace and quietness, tasting from the Love of God which is above all knowledge. Enough for us the time that has passed, let us no longer compensate our share in Christ Jesus.
Above all:
The ascension of our Lord, God and savior Jesus Christ was not merely a rise from the earth, nor a challenge to its gravity. Science has given man the opportunity to fly over the earth, against the force of gravity, successfully landing and walking on the moon. The ascension of our Lord though was not through an outer energy as in the previous cases, but by His Divine power He has done that, not only this but as the Bible declares” For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens” ( Hebrews 7:26), thus everything became under His feet, for He is above all, for when the Son obeyed, He was in the flesh, and He obeyed the Father until His death on the Cross” Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth” ( Philippians 2:9-10). All this love from the Father to the Son was and shall be to and for us. Let us rejoice in this, for Christ in all His glory is in us by the Holy Spirit, completing the work of the Trinity toward us” He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is

Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you” ( John 16:14-15)…. How great is God the Father’s love for us, and His acceptance of His Son’s intercessions for us, giving us the chance to enjoy the glory of God as His true children” I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world….And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” ( John 17:23-24, 26). I am amazed at the inevitably answered prayers by the Father because of the Son’s devotion and obedience, for its all ours if we believe and accept the works of the Trinity in us by obeying the commandment and our true communion in the body of the Lord who is the living Church by His Holy Spirit. Now let us see and receive a simple thing from the greatness of the Lord’s ascension to the highest heavens. The Father has seated Him at His right hand of greatness, and this has become for us” and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ
Jesus” ( Ephesians 2:6)., then He made Him” far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come” ( Ephesians 1:21). This means that we have received in Christ this authority, when He said to the believers in His name through the disciples” Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases” ( Luke 9:1). How then are we afraid of anything as long as we hold on to Christ, Who is above all authority and power?! How can we forget our authority over the unclean spirits as long as we hold on to the work of the Holy Spirit in us to give us holiness, and how are we afraid of the world’s visible and invisible powers, as long as we have God on our side. If God is with us, who can be against us?!! Just the name of Jesus Christ scares and expels demons, so will we experience the power of the good name of the Lord?! Therefore, from the above, we can understand the words of Saint Paul when he says” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” ( Philippians 4:13).
Not only this, but we see what the Lord offers to us in the future to come, and says to His disciples and to us among them” And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” ( Luke 22:29-30). Even more, the revelation through our teacher Saint Paul the Apostle saying” Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?” ( 1 Corinthians 6:3). Obviously he means the fallen angels that became devils.
Once again this is a portion from the abundance that we have received through the ascension of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ, Who has all the glory, honor and the dominion from now and forever, Amen.
